Travels to Saint Petersburg, Russia. This is one of the most interesting and exciting places of Russia or the European continent, in my opinion. Saint Petersburg is an incredible city with so many beautiful and interesting places to see it sits on the Neva river. Founded by Tsar Peter the great in 1703. The city was also called Leningrad and Petrograd. It was the capital of Russia until 1918. Some of the places to see are the art collections at The Hermitage museum, Peter and Paul Cathedral, Church of the savior on blood, St. Issacs Catherdral with their gold domes took 40 years to build. Saint Petersburg is also known as the city of bridges which will open at night to let the ships travel through them. If this is not enough to see, it has only a few hours of darkness starting around June/July for a few weeks. I have been there four times and want to go again. There are so many things to do and so much culture to enjoy.
